Kabza De Small is a renowned south African DJ who has entertained many fans on the dance floor with his Amapiano sounds. A new south African sound which he has been acclaimed to have breathed life to. He has been recently heralded as the King of Amapiano but little is known about the small South African music genius.

Born Kabelo Motha, Kabza De Small (26) is originally from Mpumalanga, but he grew up and spent most of his time in Pretoria. Nobody seems to know his exact date of birth, but it has been documented that he has celebrated his birthday on the 29th of November in the year 2015 at Rivas Bar & Grill where Kabza De Small seemed to be an in-house DJ.

Started as a DJ
Kabza De Small started his sojourn into the entertainment industry as a DJ in 2009. Our Amapiano King said he didn’t have resources by then but he knew what he wanted with his career. He however kept on pushing with what he has to enhance his skills. And after many years of polishing his skills, he is now a known brand to many people in south Africa and beyond.

Kabza De Small has been heralded as one of the artists that propagated the budding genre in south African music – Amapiano. He had collaborated with big names likes MRF Souls, Gaba Canal, Afrosoul Sax, Josiah, Kopzz Avenue, Tribe Franko, and many more artists in this new genre called Amapiano. An act which he claims to be honored in.

Released his First Album in 2016
In 2016, Kabza released his first album titled Avenue Sounds which became a hit album and he loved the support which he received from South Africans in his first album. Kabza said “Many people seemed to have loved the Amapiano sounds which I breathed into the music industry.”

Back on the Scene with a Wave
The Amapiano music King is back in the music scenes with two hit tracks called Amabele Shaya and Umshove which he performed at Rubza’s Place in Alexandra, north of Joburg and which has earned rave reviews from fans and critics alike. He acknowledged that the newly released tracks have been given thumbs up by many industry old hands. “My music is fresh with unique sounds that cater for people of all ages,” he said. He also admitted to have been working with Leehleza on both tracks. He said he has kickstarted his Festive Tour of the singles when he performed in Alexandra.
